About this event
Welcome to the HealthCloud hackathon, where innovative minds come together to tackle real-world problems and create groundbreaking solutions.

Challenge
Leveraging some of the healthCloud APIs, develop a solution that facilitates member eligibility checks, secure authentication and prevents over-utilization of cover limits by reserving amounts.
NOTE: HealthCloud by Slade360 has created systems aimed at simplifying healthcare and it's access. Your solution should target to serve eligible members i.e. Members with valid insurance covers and be able to reserve amounts off the available balance

Expected solution
Using the public HealthCloud API, develop a simple application to be used to identify and verify insured members for the
purpose of service delivery.

Participants Eligibility
-
Open to seasoned software engineers and those aspiring to be software engineers.
-
All genders above the age of 18.
-
Participants should demonstrate familiarity working with APIs.
-
The participants should be able to physically avail themselves to the venue on the day of the hackathon.

Team Formation
-

Expected Solution
The solutions provided should solve the below mentioned:
-
Verify member eligibility- confirming whether an individual is eligible for health insurance coverage or specific medical services.
-
Securely Authenticate members- verifying the identity of individuals accessing healthcare services or sensitive health information to ensure the privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient data.
-
Reserve amount claims to be submitted- the process of setting aside or earmarking funds to cover expected claim payments. This is typically done by insurance companies or healthcare organizations to ensure they have sufficient financial resources to pay for anticipated claims.

Project Development
-
All developmental work should be done on the day of the hackathon.
-
Unless explicitly approved, participants are restricted to only using the APIs provided through the HealthCloud platform to come up with their solutions.
